CURRENT C.O.C. COMMUNITY NEWS
July, Aug, Sept Quarterly - 2016
► Cherokee Nation held their Leadership Conference, in May, under the Cherokee Nation Community Association (CNCA), in Tahlequah.
Cherokees of Orange County, CA (C.O.C.,) was given an award for Technology. The Technology award was for our Website; Newsletter, Wind Words; and special event fliers, etc. Last year we were awarded the Communications award. Other charter communities that fall under the Cherokee Nation were given awards also.
The Leadership Conference is held every year. Cherokee Nation Citizen Council members can attend and bring back information given to them, to help our charter organization, Cherokees of Orange County, CA.
Each year one (1) Council Member is nominated to attend the Leadership Conference, with full tuition, paid by Cherokee Nation. This year we nominated our Cherokee Nation Liaison, Janet Cook, to attend the event.
